ANIMA Europe - 2026
"Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, but about learning to dance in the rain." - Seneca
Anima is a European artistic research-creation project that invites young Italians, Portuguese, Germans, French, and Danes to explore the connections between their capacity for personal transformation and collective transformation in the face of crises.

This project includes:
- A preparatory stay in April 2026: a period of in-depth work between the educational and artistic teams of the five partner organizations.
- A stay from September 20 to 27, 2026: 25 young people aged 18 to 25 give artistic expression to their sensitivity and their reflections on how to engage in the face of the ecological crisis.
- The creation of a collective artistic work · A research project carried out in close collaboration with young people, artists and educational teams.
- A research-creation laboratory, aiming to foster dialogue between scientific questions and artistic forms at the heart of the project
- The publication of a book bringing together the results of the research, the texts and voices of the young participants, artistic photographs by Mr. Lombard, as well as a reflection on how art can contribute to the emancipation and awareness of young people.
- Dissemination of the work to all participants and partners. Support for young people before, during and after their stays, in order to support their future individual and collective projects.
This project stems from the observation of the vulnerability of young people to the ecological crisis and the need to offer them spaces to express themselves, analyze, feel and transform themselves.

Waking Life is a summer festival held in Portugal, combining a cultural event, an ecological project, and a collective laboratory for creation. Over the course of a week around the solstice, it brings together an international community to experiment with new forms of celebration, learning, and collective living. The festival aims to be a temporary space of autonomy and imagination, nurturing a rural ecosystem and alternative practices throughout the year.
Their aim is to build connections between people and to promote cultural diversity. They organize international exchanges for young people (18–30 years old) and support participants in events and exchanges organized by their partners. They strive to make participation as accessible as possible and to foster dialogue and exchange.
